MEET THE BOARD
RMD BOARD OF DIRECTORS
2023-24
OFFICERS
PRESIDENT - ROGER PERRICONE
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO
Roger Perricone is a lifelong Colorado skier. His passion for the sport is derived from his parents, both skiers, began at an early age with weekend jaunts to the Colorado ski country from his home in the Denver area. Since then, he has been attentive to skiing as both a passion and as a livelihood working for the Steamboat Ski Area in various positions since graduating from Colorado State University. As a ski patroller he provided his safety and medical services at many World Cup events in Colorado and through this experience migrated into the event production aspect of the sport as the event director at Steamboat. Roger has been heavily involved with snow events including Alpine, Freestyle, and Nordic Combined World Cup events, several NCAA Skiing Championships, and as a four-time host of the NASTAR National Championships.

Perricone has served a multitude of organizations affiliated with skiing. He served as the president of the Steamboat Winter Sports Club and remains as a director to this Board of Directors. He has held the chairmanship of the Alpine Competition Committee for the Rocky Mountain Division and has been a member (including the chairmanship) of the Rocky/Central Alpine Competition Committee. Perricone’s involvement in the sport includes serving as a Board member to the Rocky Mountain Ski Race Officials Organization prior to moving onto the Board of Directors of the Rocky Mt. Division and is currently a tenured alpine official for the International Federation of Skiing (FIS). As a FIS official he serves as the Rocky Mt. Division coordinator for both Technical Delegates and Alpine Course Homologations.
After a short run as a Director to the Rocky Mountain Division BOD, following his resignation as the chairperson of the Alpine Committee, Perricone accepted the trust of the Board of Directors to serve as president of the organization in 2002 and has served in this position since. His belief that all the athletes competing in their respective disciplines deserve the best opportunity for success possible. This remains Perricone’s moniker and drives his efforts in directing the Rocky Mountain Division of the US Ski and Snowboarding Association.

RMSRO
ROCKY MTN SKI RACING OFFICIALS
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO
Born in Denver, Ken grew up skiing in Winter Park before moving to Steamboat, where he currently lives. He accidentally started his kids racing when he put them in the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club to teach them to ski, and he began officiating when he realized they loved racing and the whole family was going to spend a lot of time on the hill. He has been volunteering with Rocky Mountain Ski Racing Officials (RMSRO) for twenty-one years and has taught clinics for over a decade. He became a member of the RMSRO board in 2010 and has been the president of the organization since 2017. As a RMSRO board member, Ken started a volunteer recognition program to thank and recognize volunteers and to help experienced officials be easily visible on the hill with orange vests. He has also recently started monthly TD update calls, in which he leads Rocky TDs through debriefs of their recent TD assignments to help everyone learn from their experiences. Ken also currently serves as the TD coordinator for the Rocky region and is a member of the USSA Alpine Competition Committee.

Beyond the discipline of alpine, Ken has devoted significant time to telemark ski racing. He served as the president of the United States Telemark Ski Association (USTSA). He is a FIS telemark TD and chairs the FIS TD working group, along with serving as the FIS representative for USTSA. Ken was the chairman of the Race Organizing Committee and Chief of Race for the 2015 FIS Telemark World Championships, hosted at his home hill in Steamboat Springs.

Ken continues his day job as a technology executive in the hospitality industry.
